The Small Animal Hospital volunteer program is dedicated to enriching the lives of our patients and their owners by offering assistance, information and compassion during visits for evaluation and treatments.
This is a fun, social position providing client hospitality in our lobby.
You will mainly be greeting our clients and their cats or dogs. You will explain what they may expect during their appointment and answer any questions they may have. You may make an occasional pot of coffee, water plants, hold an animal for a client or check the tidiness of our exam rooms.
Time Commitment
Shifts last 2 ½ hours. They are available Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to noon or from 12:30 to 3 p.m. We ask you to commit to one shift per week or every other week.
Requirements for Volunteers
- 18 years old
- Work one shift per week or every other week
- Attend a short orientation program
- Pass a criminal background check
- Maintain client confidentiality
