We are honored that you have chosen us for the treatment of your animal! Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art, compassionate care for animals and in the process to teach veterinary students, interns, and residents about safe and proper diagnostics and treatments. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns at any time during the treatment of your animal. We desire to make this a positive experience for both you and your animal.
We value the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with your animal in order to provide the kind of specialized care for which the Veterinary Health Center is known. Many times, animals will be here all day (or even multiple days) while diagnostic testing and treatment are performed. The clinicians treating your animal can give you a rough idea on the duration of the expected visit. Please feel free to leave the Veterinary Health Center to enjoy a coffee, meal, snack, shopping trip or fun experience while here in Columbia. Below you will find some information on places to eat and unwind while you wait for your animal’s appointment to be completed. Additionally, you will find information for pet-friendly hotels and places in Columbia where your dog can enjoy a walk. Some of these options may have variable hours during the pandemic, so you might want to call ahead and check. The University of Missouri Campus is lovely, and you may enjoy a simple walk around the Quad. Finally, www.visitcolumbiamo.com may have additional resources beyond what we have already provided.
Please feel free to contact us any time with questions. The telephone number to the Small Animal Clinic is 573-882-7821, Equine is 573-882-3513, and Food Animal/Reproductive Services is 573-882-6857. Thank you for allowing us to serve you and your animal!
