The Cardiology Service is happy to provide consultations for referring veterinarians during normal business hours (8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday). Please note the hospital is closed on federal holidays. To submit a consultation, please complete the form linked below with all pertinent records (including the patient’s medical history as well as any diagnostic test results including bloodwork, blood pressure results, electrocardiogram results, and/or thoracic radiographs in jpeg format). The consultation will be reviewed, and the clinicians on duty will call or email you within one business day; consultations received after 4 pm may not be addressed until the following business day. If this is an emergency consultation during normal business hours, please call the Veterinary Health Center at 573-882-7821 and ask to speak with a cardiology clinician on clinics. On Tuesdays and Thursday mornings, all cardiology clinicians are in rounds from 9-10 am; emergency consultations will be returned as soon as we are available. If a consultation call is received afterhours, the call will be directed to the Emergency Service.
Please note: We do not interpret echocardiographic images performed by anyone outside the Cardiology Service here at the Veterinary Health Center.
Inquiries directly from clients are unable to be addressed, but clients are welcome to schedule an appointment with the Cardiology Service by calling the Veterinary Health Center at 573-882-7821 (please note: A deposit will be required at the time of scheduling).
