Our team is always ready to help with emergency neurological problems such as a foal with seizures or an adult horse that is struggling to stand up. We treat horses with neurological diseases including equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM), equine herpes myeloencephalitis (EHV), West Nile virus, botulism, meningitis and traumatic diseases affecting the nervous system.
We work to identify the cause of the underlying problem and to provide the best and most appropriate treatment, while at the same time attending to the nursing, supportive needs of the patient. Our facilities are uniquely equipped to deal with down horses or those having difficulty standing.
